MISS/MR DANCE AMERICA TITLE~ SOLOS MUST COMPETE IN THIS TITLE CATEGORY
All athletes are encouraged to enter this event for the chance to win CASH prizes, appear in national ads and brochures, and more! Schools, studios, all stars compete together in solo divisions

SOLO/TITLE COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS:
Dance Routine:
Each contestant will perform an all music routine no longer than 1 minute 45 seconds
If entering for Miss/Mr Dance America Title- Each contestant will perform a solo dance no longer than 1 minute 45 seconds any style dance. Only one solo performer per contestant.
Photogenic:
Each contestant will bring to the competition a headshot or photo snapshot 5x7 or 8x10 black and white or color. The contestants name, age division, and hometown should be listed on the back of the photo. Photos will be submitted at registration and returned after the photo judging. Judged on beauty, photogenic quality, and overall impression.
Interview:
Each contestant will bring an informal resume listing his or her name, age, hobbies, grade in school, interests, clubs or organizations (church, school, girl scouts, dance, etc.) and any awards or accomplishments, volunteer work, etc. The contestants will be asked questions relating to the resume in an informal interview with a panel of judges, just before his or her cheer routine solo. Contestants will be judged on poise, personality, leadership and overall impression. Contestants will wear his or her dance costume for the interview.
TITLE AWARDS:
Each contestant will recieve a participation award. The Runners up will recieve a banner , tiara and trophy. Title winners will recieve: Satin Monogrammed Banner, Huge Full Round Crown, Trophy and CASH!
Title Contestants pay $125 to enter this event and all other , dance groups, lines duets/trios, etc are free.
SCORING/JUDGING
Dance Studios and All Star contestants will be judged by an adjudication point system and placed in order as well. . .Judges score on the following: Routine/syncronization/ execution/timing /spacing: 1-20 points; Choreography: 1-20 points; Technique: 1-20 points; Stage presence/projection: 1-20 points; Difficulty for level/age 1-10 points, Costume/appearance: 1-10 points. Trophies will be awarded to the top 4 teams in each division. Placement ribbons will be awarded to 5th place and below.
School/Collegiate dance teams will be judged on the following point scale:
Syncronization 10 Technique 10 Choreography 10 Performance/Projection 10 Timing /Spacing 5
Difficulty 5 Costume 5 Overall Effect 5 All teams will recieve a placement trophy.
During awards there will be multiple placements presented in each level, division, category and age division. These will be broken down and awarded in placement order as well. Overall winners and 1st-6th place trophy winners will also be announced and awarded special prizes. Judges total composite scores for adjudication: Platinum (300-290points), Gold (289-270 points), Silver (269-240 points), Bronze (239-200 points). Judges critiques/score sheets will be available after each awards ceremony.
